You will need to bring a twin tip board and Kites to cover a windrange from 12 to 30 knots. Make sure that your bars are equipped with a modern and perfectly functining 3-step safety system. If you don't have your own equipment, you can rent it from our partner ION CLUB TARIFA at a discounted price of 180 Euro for 8 days. The center is equipped with the latest DUOTONE KITEBOARDING gear.
EXAMS:
You will be perfectly prepared if you work through the corresponding chapters on the VDWS e-learning platform and answer the check-up questions at the end of each chapter. This will give you a great basic knowledge for the theory exam. The e-learning and on the webside provides you also with the requirements on your riding skills. You should make sure to be able to do it already at your time of arrival. Have in mind that Tarifa has special kiting conditions and it is absoloutly recommended to arrive a fiew days earlier to get used to it.
To complete the VDWS Kite Instructor Level 1 licence you need to:
- complete Instructor course
- pass practical exam
- pass teaching exam
- VDWS Membership
- Minimum age: 18 year
To become a VDWS Level 2 Instructor:
You will adittionally have to pass the theoretical exam, complete a 100 hour internship successfully and submit all of the documents needed (first aid, motorboat qualification, rescue)
VDWS INSTRUCTOR AND FURTHER EDUCATION:
These days, water sports instructors are much more challenged than it was the case a few years ago. Many of the tiny schools that started with only one sport have developed into huge water sport centers, offering windsurfing, kitesurfing, catamaran and dinghy sailing. Thanks to its modularity, the VDWS training system allows for an individual job profile that can be expanded step by step. Further education workshops for school management, advanced level 3 Instructor and internship supervision complete this qualification system.
