Sailing Excursion from Europe to Africa
The Strait of Gibraltar connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean and separates Spain (Europe) from Morocco (Africa). This historic waterway is about 60km long and at its shortest point only 14km wide. Our route takes us from the Spanish coast, out into the Strait of Gibraltar and across to the African continent. A route between two oceans, from one continent to another. Our destination is Ceuta, where we will dock after about 2 hours crossing.
There you will have the opportunity to explore the city and have lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar and Spain. Back on board we will sail to a sheltered anchorage where you will have the opportunity to cool off before heading back to Spain.
This trip is for everybody who is looking for an extraordinary holiday experience in a small group of like-minded people. A great mixture of nature, a little bit of adventure and cultural and culinary highlights! To become part of our crew for a day, no previous sailing experience is necessary.

Welcome to an extraordinary holiday experience in a small group of like-minded people. A great mixture of nature, a little bit of adventure and cultural and culinary highlights! To become part of our crew for a day, no previous sailing experience is necessary.
What you should bring for the special day at sea is a little sense of adventure, sun cream, your identity card and a little cash or credit card for the city walk and lunch in Ceuta.
Please note, there is no sailing experience necessary to join this tour. However, if you feel like it, you are welcome to moor up and help with setting sails, steering and anchoring. Children from 3 years are welcome.
The best and cheapest connection to Tarifa/Algeciras is via Malaga Airport (AGP). There are also airports in the cities of Jerez, Seville and Gibraltar, some of which are closer to Tarifa/Algeciras. However, these are less frequently served and airfares are often significantly higher.
The distance from Malaga airport to Tarifa is about 180km. Since the official shuttle services are relatively expensive, we recommend to travel either by public bus or in your own rental car to Tarifa/Algeciras.
The bus connection from Malaga to Tarifa first leads from Malaga airport to Marbella, from Marbella to Algeciras and then from Algeciras to Tarifa. The connection takes about 3-4 hours including in total and costs about 20 euros for a one-way trip.

The most comfortable way however is to rent a car. The rates for a rental car throughout the duration of the event are especially cheap, most notably in the low season.
