Wingfoil Cruise British Virgin Islands

A Wingfoil Cruise British Virgin Islands (BVI) offers an exceptional Wing experience. During our Cruise you will discover all the best Wingfoiling spots this caribbean paradise has to offer!  Known for their consistent trade winds, clear turquoise waters, and stunning natural beauty, the BVI´s provide ideal conditions for during the December and April. Popular spots like Anegada, with its extensive sandy beaches and shallow waters, are perfect for every Freerider, while the more advanced riders can enjoy the waves and wind conditions around locations like North Sound in Virgin Gorda.

Beyond the wingfoiling itself, the British Virgin Islands offer a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere, with friendly locals, vibrant marine life, and picturesque landscapes. The combination of perfect wind conditions, warm weather, and breathtaking scenery makes winging in the BVI an unforgettable adventure.

Wingfoiling British Virgin Islands

The wingfoiling spots in the British Virgin Islands are among the best that the Caribbean has to offer. Virgin Gorda Sound, a staple of our cruises, is a prime spot featuring turquoise lagoons surrounded by tropical islands. The main activity centers around Saba Rock, a tiny island with a popular resort and a renowned happy hour.

Anegada is another highlight of our trip. The west side of the island offers miles of deserted, palm-lined white sand beaches that seamlessly blend into the turquoise sea. The offshore conditions are perfect for ultra-flat, ideal wingfoiling. Anegada’s north coast provides an excellent right-hand wave over a shallow reef for advanced wingfoilers, while the lagoon offers another beautiful, secluded spot suitable for all levels.

Jost Van Dyke, located west of the B.V.I., is famous for its lively live music scene and parties at ‘Foxy’s’ and ‘Soggy Dollar.’ For those looking for a night out, this is the place to be! Nearby, Sandy Spit offers a small sandbar with a great anchorage and excellent wingfoiling conditions. There is a flat area near the anchorage suitable for one or two kiters, but the main wingfoiling area is behind the sandbar in the channel.

Wingfoiling in the British Virgin Islands should definitely be on every wingfoiler’s bucket list, and a wing cruise is the best way to experience all these spots in one vacation.

Wingfoil Cruise British Virgin Islands Spot Guide

Tortola

Our Kitesurf and Wingfoil Cruise in the British Virgin Islands start from Trellis Bay near Tortola’s main airport. After boarding, we often enjoy a beautiful session before sundown at Marina Cay. Just a short sail away, we anchor and launch directly from the catamaran. There’s nothing better than riding turquoise waters within an hour of leaving the airport!

Gorda Sound

Gorda Sound is the premier wingfoiling and kite spot in the British Virgin Islands, featuring turquoise lagoons and tropical islands. The main action is around Saba Rock, a tiny island. For more space and flat conditions, we often kite and wing in front of Richard Branson’s private island.

Anegada

Anegada is one of the Caribbean’s hidden gems for kitesurfing and wingfoiling. The deserted western side boasts miles of palm-lined, white sand beaches and turquoise sea, perfect for ultra-flat riding. It’s also a great wakeboarding spot if the wind is light.

The North shore offers an outstanding right-hand wave over shallow reef for advanced riders. Inside the lagoon, there’s a stunning spot for all levels. Further upwind is Cow Wreck Bay, ideal for lunch and home to a local kite school.

Jost Van Dyke – Sandy Spit

Jost Van Dyke is a  beautiful island, well known for its live music. This is the place for a night out.

Sandy Spit offers fun kite and wing condition at it´s nearby sand bar with a great little anchorage. There is a nice flat area close to the anchorage but with only space for up to two kiters. The main watersports area is out past the spit in the channel where there can be some fun swells to ride.

A typical day

A typical day in the Wingfoil Cruise British Virgin Islands starts off with a swim in 26 degree crystal clear, warm water at our berth. In addition to that you can partake in a morning yoga session on the bow of the Catamaran while the crew prepares breakfast.

After breakfast we start into our first wingfoiling session of the day. Our instructors will help you launch the wings from the boat or you will be shuttled to the beach in our small dinghy. Our experienced coaches will keep an eye on you throughout each of your sessions to keep you safe and ensure that it’s a fun session.

At noon we set sail and while you peacefully enjoy a boosting snack on board, we are heading to our next anchorage point and wing spot. Depending on your motivation you can either have a second iwngfoil session or explore the island by yourself or with one of our guides.

At sunset we usually meet with everyone on board to end the day with a sundowner drink on deck and start our evening.

We either have dinner on the boat. Or, if you like, we go ashore to find a nice restaurant or a fisherman’s hut for dinner. Before we hitting the hay, the crew will organize a small, private ‘rum tasting’.

Living on a Yacht vs. in a Hotel on shore

Imagine waking up each morning to the gentle sway of the ocean, the sound of waves lapping against the hull, and the sight of a breathtaking sunrise over an endless horizon. This is the reality of living onboard a sailing catamaran for your vacation—a reality that offers a level of relaxation and disconnection from the daily grind that is unparalleled by any shore-based holiday. A sailing catamaran serves as your private, floating oasis, far removed from the hustle and bustle of crowded beaches and tourist hotspots. The spacious decks and cabins provide a sense of freedom and privacy, allowing you to unwind and savor each moment.

Living on a catamaran immerses you in the natural world like never before. Each day, we anchor in the best Kitesurfing and wingfoil spots you can imagine, swim in crystal-clear waters, and explore pristine beaches that are often inaccessible from the shore. The sights, sounds, and smells of the sea become a constant backdrop, helping you reconnect with nature and appreciate its simple, yet profound beauty.

One of the greatest benefits of living onboard a catamaran is the opportunity to truly unplug. With limited access to the internet and a lack of constant digital distractions, you can disconnect from the demands of daily life. This digital detox allows you to focus on the present moment, enjoy the company of likeminded people and focus on whats truly important.
